The longest-serving news anchor in U.S. broadcast history, Koppel is best known as the anchor for ABC's Nightline, from the program's inception in 1980 until his retirement in 2005. During the more than 50 years that he has worked as a professional journalist Koppel has embodied the term “eye-witness to history. He is recognized around the world as a trusted and respected voice on current events and issues of global importance. With his trademark wisdom, wit, and superb storytelling, Koppel shares historical and current observations on the state of the U.S. providing unmatched analysis of foreign policy.  He comments on cyber-security and warfare, economic challenges, social issues of the day — and the people behind the scenes.  His recent best seller, Lights Out  examines the potential threats and how prepared the U.S. is for a cyber-catastrophe. He is a senior contributor to the CBS News Sunday Morning Show.
