History

Reyes Adobe Historical Site
Built in approximately 1850, Agoura Hills’ first home represents 150 years of exciting California history. This history includes the acquisition of the documented stories and artifacts from the families that have called the Reyes Adobe home over the years. Directions: Take 101 Fwy to Reyes Adobe Road.  Go north to Rainbow Crest.  Go left into Reyes Adobe Park.

Every Tuesday - 10:00am to 2:00pm
Every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the Month - 1:00pm to 4:00pm
All tours are lead by volunteer docents.

Hiking & Mountain Biking
Chesebro Canyon Trail
Length: 4.6 miles
Difficulty: Easy
Once a ranch road, the Cheseboro Canyon Trail follows along a streambed through a valley oak savannah and coast live oak riparian zone. Located 1.6 miles from the parking area is a picnic area. At 3.3 miles you will smell the odor of rotten eggs near Sulphur Springs. As you pass under the Baleen Wall, the canyon opens up and chaparral slopes replace the savannah. The trail continues to an old sheep corral where you can picnic near the creek bed.
Directions:  Ventura Fwy (101) to Chesebro Rd exit. Turn north on Palo Comado Canyon Rd. then right on Chesebro Rd. North 1 mile to park entrance. Turn right and follow road to parking lot.

One of Agoura Hills’ six neighborhood parks, with amenities including half-court basketball, softball field, 2 play structures, picnic shelter, walking path, restroom facilities, open grass area with view of the Santa Monica Mountains.

The Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center is a state-of-the-art public facility that offers a variety of recreational, social, cultural and educational opportunities to meet the needs of the surrounding communities. This 30,000 square foot facility features a gymnasium with tournament-level basketball, volleyball and badminton courts, a full-service fitness studio, a dance & exercise studio, a 35-foot realistic rock climbing wall and a variety of multi-purpose rooms for classes & programs, special events and rentals.

Enjoy the Open Space
Wildwood Park
The park is comprised of 1,825 acres of open space, 14 trails covering 17 miles, and two waterfalls that flow year-round.  There are three water fountains in the park; hikers are encouraged to bring water.  Restrooms are located at the bottom of the canyon only.  In addition, there are several benches located throughout the park, mostly along the trails. Open 7am - dusk.

Get your exercise walking, jogging or biking and enjoy vistas of beautiful Westlake Lake at the same time.  Start out at the Landing and in making a series of right turns onto Lindero Canyon Road, Triunfo Canyon Road, Westlake Boulevard, Agoura Road, Lakeview Canyon Road and Lindero Canyon Road back to The Landing, you will have completed approximately a 5.5 mile loop.  While taking in the scenery, check out the exclusive homes on the island and the perimeter of the lake and enjoy watching the boats cruise gracefully along the waters.  Or, dine at one of the fine restaurants with serene waterfront views.
